Tall Lady Pictures is the home for films by Ashley Altadonna. Ashley Altadonna (b. 1979 Houston, TX) is a transsexual filmmaker living in Milwaukee, WI. Her films have been shown in numerous festivals from London, Berlin and Melbourne to New York, Seattle and San Francisco. Altadonna is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee film dept. She has been making films since 1999.

Hey everyone! It's August, and that means it's the anniversary of my transition, and my birthday! Today makes five years of me getting to be myself! These past five years have been pretty good to me all things considered. I am trying to move forward as a filmmaker. Despite all the potential disadvantages out there for trans folks, being trans has actually HELPED my film career. I am getting married to a wonderful woman in a years time, and I get to be me every single day! So here, 5 years in and a lifetime to go, I just wanna thank all of you have supported me along the way I couldn't have done it with out, and as always, my undying love and gratitude to my beautiful fiance Maria. You help make me, not just a better woman but a better human being. I love you!
Thanks again to everyone who made it out to last month's "Making the Cut" Art Show fundraiser at The Milwaukee Gay Arts Center. This was the most successful fundraiser yet! We made $800 toward my surgery bringing the total to $2,400! Thanks again to DJ Too Sarcastic, the Gay Arts Center and everyone who helped out.

I've been busily working on my newest short film, "I Was Never Lovelier". Basic shooting is nearly done and I'm anxious to start editing the film.
